ROBOTIC WORKSHOP
Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of Science and technology. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. Robotics is also used in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as a teaching aid.
Technology is changing, the way people do things in every part of the world, and the sector of Robotics also continues to expand, this is why Mayo College Girls’ School wants to prepare it’s students for the future. The truth is that we are already doing a great deal of work in this area. Robotics has been an indispensable part of our curriculum for the last few years. And while it’s important that teachers who administer courses in this area should have advanced knowledge in programming and other skills only then would the students reap huge benefits, not just for the present, but also for the foreseeable AI future.
Educators need to embrace the latest skills and knowledge for effective teaching. To keep them updated of the recent changes in the software, we had the Robotic workshop for teachers in the Robomatic Lab on the 16th and 17th July from 2:35 to 6:00 pm. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Bhargav Yagnik from NEXT Education who exposed the teachers to the latest software called the “THINK” which is a more user friendly software. The teachers honed their programming skills on the new software and got the opportunity to design more robots using the new software.
