AFS Effect + Workshop
On 1st and 3rd September, Ms Sapna Simmi Sukul conducted an AFS Effect+ Workshop for the students of our school on sustainable development goals. Ma’am Sapna spoke to the students about ‘changemakers’- who a changemaker is, what they do, and what makes them special. She inspired and motivated them to be changemakers because there truly is no age limit to be someone who wants to make a difference. The students were then assigned the task of writing an essay on any one person they knew who could be called a changemaker. The students spoke about their friends, families, and seniors who had made small but effective changes in the world around them.
On the second day of the workshop, Ma’am Sapna invited Ma’am Sunita Rajeev to join the workshop. Ms Ranjeev enlightened the students about the various goals set and measures taken by her school to improve the environment around them.
Overall, the workshop proved to be extremely interesting and fruitful, leaving the children with a renewed sense of dedication to protect the environment and make their change in the world around them. The skills and insights from the workshop shall forever be cherished by the students.
