AFS Orientation Session ( IX to XII )
Mayo College Girls’ School is an active member of AFS, “a global not-for-profit Network that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.”
Today, the School organised an orientation/interactive session for its students from class IX to XII, on various programs that AFS offers to the students of this age group. The resource persons, Mr Aadil Fahim and Dr Shradha Roy introduced student oriented programs Global You Adventurer Program, Global Changemaker program, Teen Global Up program, etc.
The session started with a short video introducing the purpose of AFS as a global organisation and its benefits. We also had two guest students who have been a part of Global You Adventurer programs from DPS, Indore and Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati who shared their experiences with the students of MCGS and why the youth of our country to should take up such programs.
It was an enriching and informative session.
