Hearing impaired society activity
Hearing impaired society activity, conducted on 1st September
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we lived .it is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
-Nelson Mandela
The hearing and speech impaired society of mayo college girls school has been associated with the students of the Badhir Vidhyalaya for a long time now. Our school has organized many activities in order to make the rapport that the students share with the specially abled children even strong. Each time we take the opportunity to interact and communicate with these children, it is a new learning experience all together.
On 1st September, 2017 community service girls of class 11 organized a treasure hunt game for the children of Badhir Vidhyalaya.20 children from their school were divided into 4 groups and each group was assisted by 3 girls from our school. The ambience of the place was filled with glee and zeal. The faces of the children evidently reflected a sense of thrill and enthusiasm. Considering that a prize would be awarded to the winning team, participants braced up to decode the clues which lead to the goodies.
The treasure hunt was followed by a relay which reflected the true sportsmanship.
It was an enlightening experience for each one of us and we could feel our love and affection being reciprocated abundantly. This event would not have been possible without the support and guidance of our teachers.
