The significant impact of the Computer Department over the past 29 years is tangible. In 1988 we began with 3 Computer Systems (Texas Instruments TI-99/4A) given to us by Mayo College, Ajmer. Children had hand on experience on Basic and Logo language. In 1994 we were given more Computers with the goal of imparting high quality education and knowledge in the field of Information Technology to the students. The students developed skill in MS-Office. We also started developing Multimedia Presentations using Flash and Web Page Designing in Ms-Office Front Page.
The need to update the existing systems aroused as Technology was changing rapidly and it was necessary for our girls to be at par with everyone. The fully fledged Computer Department was set up in 2000 with 60 computers. The Department has two laboratories equipped with computing facilities to support the teaching and learning activities. The lab is equipped with all the softwares used today for developing skills in almost every aspect of designing. The department plays a major role in helping other areas of academia and society to integrate advances in Information Technology into their endeavors.
Looking internally, the development of our department lies with our faculty and staff. They apply their considerable expertise and energy to advance discovery, learning, and engagement activities. The Computer Society is the most active Society of the School. The activities of the department are diversified over learning GIMP, Adobe Illustrator, MX-Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Corel Draw and After Effects. The Inter House competitions are varied over participations in Power Point Presentation, Brochure Designing, Poster Making, Cartooning, Web Page Designing, E-Collage, Ad-Designing, Photo editing and Composite video making.
