An excellent 400 meter athletic track with pavilion for the spectators and facilities for all track and field events. Mayo is known for its outstanding performance in athletics at district and state level tournaments and especially at the inter house athletic meet one can feel the excitement of the participants and the spectators.
Mayo is known for its shooters at the national level and every year we have shooters who represent country at the international tournaments. The shooters are trained for hours under experienced coaches to excel at the shooting and a big number of girls have opted for this sport. Shooting had taken a giant step towards excellence in a short time.

From the small streets to the big sports academies, badminton has always been a favorite. In Mayo as well we have put badminton on high pedestial. Our team has earned laurels at state and national levels.

Mayo College Girls’ School offers its students with a large variety of sports among which Basketball is the most opted sport. We have three outdoor courts on campus, which were converted from cemented to synthetic in the year 2014. Under the guidance of our excellent coaches the students acquire great skills in the sport. Due to the combined efforts and perseverance of both the coaches and the students, MCGS has been represented at the district, state, IPSC and the National levels. The school also organized competition for the sport which are held the girls to improvise on their basic game skills and team work. With the kind of support and facilities provided. Our girls have brought laurels to the school and we are sure that they will continue to due so in the year to come.
Under the able guidance of miss sultana khan a renowned coach who is also under the aegis of Rajasthan cricket acadamy, cricket has remained one of the most vital sport in mayo. with state of art infrastructure such as the bowling machine, two fully made practice nets and a well maintained pitch, the team has continuously improved over the years and performed exceptionally well at the district, ipse, state, national and international levels.
Soccer is one of the most played games in Mayo College Girls’ School. The school has a 130 by 90 yards soccer field, and the students are trained under the supervision of a professional coach. Throughout the year the students mainly participate in IPSC competitions and further participate in the National level tournaments after selection. Mayo also organizes Soccer Interhouse to encourage more participation of the students. The winning house is awarded with a trophy at the Prize Giving. The school is well equipped with all the gadgets needed for the sport.
Mayo not only helps the students to build their strength and stamina but also helps in developing qualities like teamwork, unity and leadership. Mayo helps on the overall development of the students.
Swimming is one of the most sought after sports at MCGS. Adequately equipped with two swimming pools junior and senior both twenty-five meters each and a diving well along with a qualified coach, the school promises an enriching experience for the students interested. Understanding the practical importance of the activity in day to day life, swimming has been made a compulsory class to be attended by every girl from the 4th to the 12th grade. The students practice regularly and participate in various regional, state and national competitions and continue to raise the bar of perfection year after year. The school has even hosted district level competitions.
Table Tennis is a game of speed, spin and control, demanding the quickest reactions of any sport. However, as well as being a dynamic and athletic Olympic and Paralympic Sport, it is also a popular recreational activity played indoors and outdoors. Tables are appearing everywhere from sports halls to parks,
A game is up to 11 points and players win points by hitting a lightweight plastic ball over a net so that their opponents either cannot return it or are forced into an error .We have three Tables in the school gym for our girls to practice and prepare themselves to accept challenges for a better tomorrow.

We at MCGS understand the importance of Yoga and thus provide it as a sport in our school. Under the guidance of our coach we practice meditation, power yoga, rope yoga and asans regularly. Our school provides mats to the students for the practices. We take part in several competitions round the year including districts, states, IPSC’s and nationals where the students bag numerous accolades. Apart from this, the junior classes assisted and mentored by the senior students put up a yoga display twice in an year, With each passing year, yoga as a sport has evolved in various aspects and the performances level has risen.
Mayo provides its riders with an opportunity to develop their equine skills in a variety of disciplines including Dressage, Tent Pegging, Show Jumping and Gym Khana. Our Equestrians have been representing the school in prestigious IPSC, Regional and National level competitions and have been consistently raising the bars of excellence.
Being one of the only sports where men and women compete together and a sport having the best diversity between ages, our girls get valuable experiences that reflect their interests, goals and abilities along with enhancing their passion for Equestrian.
Presently around 60 horses are stabled at Mayo which set the standard for quality. Typically, over 100 girls take up Equestrian sports each academic year. Apart from competing, the essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit and freedom.
Here at MCGS, we have a rater amazing blend of academics and sports. Tennis is the second most played sport in the world with its ease to play and universal appeal it is not hard to see why.

Mayo has always encouraged its sports team with regard to mass participation and achievements. Recently the school got synthetic courts and automatic ball feeding machine to enhance the quality of sport. With a well trained coach and over enthusiastic girls, we are certain to do very well and win many laurels as we always have in the future.
