an aid to cure the problems. The Nature Club at Mayo College Girls’ School has always been committed to sensitizing its students on issues relating to environmental degradation. Consciousness itself carried us far beyond books to work towards conserving the environment. We have also ventured into practicing a few activities in the school campus itself like water conservation by putting buckets in the mess to save the extra water left in the glasses and drip irrigation and to promote the use of eco-friendly products. Class 6 of our school have performed street plays on the save water and spread awareness. Our school is partially solar powered .The theme during our round square international conference was “EVERY DROP COUNTS” and there were a lot of talks with everyone regarding this serious issue. In our school we have a can water plant, water softener and water recycler. We also perform the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ every year on the 2nd of October.
