Virtual Exchange with Schloss Gaienhofen, Lake Konstanz, Germany
Mayo College Girls’ School had a virtual exchange with Schloss Gaienhofen, Lake Konstanz on 21st July, 2020. the students from both the schools made presentations on various aspects of the culture of their respective countries. While the students from Mayo College Girls’ School spoke about the diversity of India as a nation, the students from Schloss Gaienhofen talked in detail about the culture of South Germany. The topics covered were family life, religion, social life, wildlife and cuisine and the effects of Covid-19 on each of these aspects of life in both countries. Each Indian participant presented with her German counterpart.
The presentations were indeed enlightening and informative. The students thoroughly enjoyed this unusual exchange of cultures and learnt to respect the differences as much as they respect the similarities between both cultures. The participants from Mayo College Girls’ School were:
