Photography 1o1 workshop
The Department of Computer Science organised a Photography 1o1 workshop over the weekend of January 17th and 18th, 2020 for the classes 8,9 and 11th. The resource person Miss. Pushpita Chatterjee is a practicing photojournalist from Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The workshop presided over two days and two sessions one lecture and one practical respectively. The lecture session lasted an hour and dealt with basics of photography, camera handling, caption writing and lastly introduction to types of photography followed with shooting the sunset over the inhouse temple with the students.
The second day was around the campus with the students photographing at both macro and micro levels i.e the infrastructure, flora fauna, pets and fellow students. The turn out on day 1 was a total of 28 girls and day 2 was 17 with their personal DSLRs. Girls showed keen interest and enthusiasm on both days, more on day 2 when let free with cameras around the campus to explore. The resource person guided them around- correcting and advising on a one to one basis. They explored different types of photography like silhouttes, landscape, portraits and sports along with the different camera settings needed for each of them.
