Life Skills and Character Building Workshop Class 6
A ‘Life Skills and Character Building Workshop’* was organized for the Girls of Class VI on Sunday, 11 October, 2019 in the School’s Auditorium by SoulErgy – an Organization committed to providing ‘Learning and Fulfillment Solutions’. The Inaugural Workshop was conducted by the Director of the Company Mr. Kulwant Singh, who has helped numerous young children enhance their learning experience at varied levels and in the process empowered them to explore higher dimensions of life. The session started with an Icebreaker – an attempt to know the Girls, their interests and the passions that drive them. The outcome of this enterprise was to make them realize how closely knit and entwined we all are to the larger scheme of life and things on our planet. They were also given prods to build their own teams, debate on the principles which bond them together and the commonalities that will drive and edge their teams forward. As the Girls thawed and warmed up, the idea of CLAP was introduced – Coherence, Listening, Awareness and Participation. This message was further strengthened by analysing videos on Awareness and the consequences of the lack of it. The Case Study of a child’s reaction when the Mother stops responding to her was also discussed. This is the first of the series of Workshops planned for the Girls to help them inculcate vital, indispensable Life Skills and make them realize how Character Building can help them build an ethical foundation and take them far and beyond in life.
