Secretary General's Address

Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

On behalf of the Mayo fraternity, I am honored to welcome you all to the fourth annual session of the Mayo College Girls' School Model United Nations Conference from the 14th - 17th April, 2015.

MCGSMUN over the years has developed into an intellectually stimulating, innovative and exciting conference. This year, nurturing the United Nations vision of internationalism and universal brotherhood, the conference seeks to draw participants from across the Asian subcontinent with a mission of 'Uniting for Peace'.

Our committees vary from the General Assembly, Historic Security Council to the African Union. In addition to this we also have the Press Corps from where we expect to receive some incredible insights on the heated debate and discussions ongoing in the committees. Also, introducing for the first time we have the Joint Crisis Cabinets- JCC Iraq, JCC Syria and JCC US Senate.

This conference promises to successfully deliberate over some of the world's most pressing issues and stands as a platform for both novice and experienced delegates. After months of hard work, by student dedicated to MUN, MCGSMUN'15 is proud to present a unique opportunity to meet, discuss, and collaborate in order to preserve the constantly violated peace and harmony of our world. With this effort, we hope to create a profoundly meaningful and inspirational experience for all.

So this April, putting aside all our differences I look forward to seeing you all in Ajmer, uniting for the purpose of global peace!
