JOINT CRISIS CABINET

The Joint Crisis Cabinet (JCC) is not a conventional UN Body, instead, it comprises of the Cabinets of three different nations, each consisting of the prominent political figures of that nation. These cabinets are faced with an international crisis at the beginning of the conference. Here, the ritual raising of placards is replaced with international espionage, fast-paced decision-making, and incessant debates, all aimed at destroying the ideological enemy. Throughout the course of the committee delegates will have to deal with covert plots, terrible luck and the well meaning- or hostile- actions of the other Cabinets. Delegates must be prepared to partake in intense and fast paced debate on a diverse series of topics in their committees while still maintaining a diplomatic outlook and conduct. All this and so much more are sure to make the JCCs one of the most unpredictable, spontaneous, and undoubtedly exciting committees of MCGSMUN'15.

Talha M Siddiqui

I would like to think of myself as an outsider to the MUN circle now. Back in 2007 when the bug bit a few of us at DPS Mathura Road little did we know that MUNing will become an epidemic. As I humbly embark upon another MUN a statement from a teacher at our school "why does the school need a Security Council simulation, there are enough guards on duty!", comes to mind. How times have changed, and I must congratulate everyone from students to teachers to parents to have been a part of this revolution. From school I scraped though Mechanical Engineering, continuously trying to maintain a fine balance between MUNs and (whatever I could make off) college. MUNs have been many things to me, from an intellectual orifice to a social treasure, but most importantly they have kindled and rekindled, this unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I often get asked as to why I do or did MUNs, the answer is simple I wouldn't know Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu are countries had it not been for the MUN. So while I almost made it to the 2012 inaugural session of MCGSMUN I am glad to be finally here in 2015 and know that it will be a wonderful experience. Cheers! Talha M Siddiqui
