RISHINANDINI KUMARI SINGH: SECRETARY GENERAL

Rishinandini Kumari Singh is a student at Mayo College Girls' School currently in Class 12 pursuing Humanities with Economics. Her Model UN career had humble beginnings within the premises of Mayo itself. She has participated and been recognized in a number of MUNs at the national and international level namely; BRUINMUN, University of California, Los Angeles, HMUN India, PWSMUN and so on. More recently, she was awarded a Verbal Commendation at the Ivy League MUN Conference, held at the University of Pennsylvania.

As School Vice Captain, she is the embodiment of hard work and sincerity. She is also the President of the Art Society and harbours a particular liking for design. Off late she interned with a graphic designing house based in Lausanne. An excellent basketball player, she has had the opportunity of playing at the national level. Rishinandini also volunteered to work for the rehabilitation of victims of the Japan Tsunami all the way from China (where she lived for a few years) and is a regular visitor to orphanages and schools for the underprivileged. Apart from this, she also takes keen interest in Performing Arts. She aspires to continue with her creative pursuits in University.

Rishinandini is honoured to serve as the Secretary General for MCGSMUN 2015, and hopes that you all have a memorable conference. She looks forward to meeting you all this April!

SHAGUN BOSE: DIRECTOR GENERAL

Shagun Bose is a Class 12 student at Mayo College School pursuing Humanities and is the House Captain of Karunawati House. She entered the world of Model UN with the Cheong Shim International Academy Model UN, South Korea in 2012 and has since then represented various people from Palestinian Political Leader Khaled Meshal, at the Ivy League Model United Nations and Iranian Author Simin Daneshwar, at the Harvard Model UN Conference to The Chief of the 6th Directorate of the Soviet KGB at the LMCMUN, Calcutta, among other portfolios. A dedicated pursuer of knowledge she believes that an MUN is not just a platform for deliberations but a base for the comprehensive understanding of International Relations with respect to peace and conflict.

Aside from Model UN, Shagun is a passionate Singer and is the President of the Art Society. She has a propensity for Writing and is also an avid English Debater and the Editor of the School Newsletter. She is very passionate towards the Palestinian Cause and hopes that they will one day find solidarity, peace and security of life. Shagun has also worked with victims of child labour in the past and frequents institutions for the lesser privileged to teach. Over and above this she is also enthusiastic about Horseback Riding. She plans to pursue History and Political Science in University and try her hand at Journalism.

Shagun is extremely honoured to serve as Director General for MCGSMUN 2015 and wishes all the delegates the very best for the conference! She hopes that this shall be a memorable experience for everyone!

PARTHIVEE SHARMA: CONVENER

Parthivee Sharma is a Class 12 student at Mayo College Girls' School currently pursuing Sciences. A brilliant strategist, Parthivee began her Model UN Journey with MGD Model UN where she was adjudged Best Delegate. During this journey she also received High Commendation in MCGS Model UN, 2013 and Pathways Model UN, 2014. She has also participated in various other Model UNs such as the Doon School Model UN, Cathedral MUN and internationally, BRUIN Model UN organised by the University of California. She is deeply passionate about Model UN and considers it an essential part of her life, which has given her not only a platform to debate global issues but to engage in political discourse as a diplomat, and thus gain a better understanding of today's World issues.

Besides Model UN, Parthivee is also a beautiful singer and equally passionate Writer. She participated in the young writer's contest held by Max Life Insurance and was amongst the top 20 writers. She is also a focused photographer and believes that every picture has a story to tell. She has worked on assignments with the National Geographic Channel. She was also selected for a Fox travel photography program. She is a refined artist and has won international as well as National level Competitions. She is planning to pursue Medical Sciences with a specialization in Cardiology in the future.

She is more than thrilled to serve as Convener for MCGSMUN, 2015. She hopes that everyone has a fantastic experience at the Mayo and takes back great memories from it!

SAUMYA SINGH: CRISIS DIRECTOR

Saumya Singh is a Class 12 Student at Mayo College Girls' School pursuing Humanities with Economics and Math. Currently the School Captain, Saumya is one of the most meticulous personalities you can come across. She began her Model UN Career with Cheong Shim International Academy Model UN, South Korea in 2012 where she received High Commendation. Following which she has also participated and won accolades in various national Model UNs such as the MCGSMUN, Harvard Model UN and Cathedral Model UN. She has also been part of the Press Corps at Harvard Model UN, 2013. Internationally she has taken part in the Ivy League Model UN Conference, 2012, Philadelphia. Saumya has also served as Vice Chairperson, for the National Security Council at the Mayo Regional Parliamentary Summit, 2014.

Besides Model UN Saumya is also a vociferous reader with an unparalleled flair for Literature and Creative Writing. She also the Debating President, and is very passionate about Hindustani Music and is an excellent Sitarist. A born humanitarian Saumya has always been deeply concerned over the multitude of environmental and social issues that have disrupted countless lives worldwide, and plans to pursue Economics in College and eventually join a Humanitarian Organization.

She is honoured to serve as Crisis Director for the 4th session of MCGSMUN and promises to deliver some innovative and exciting crises for the conference to come!

RADHIKA JOSHI: UNDER SECRETARY GENERAL: LOGISTICS

Radhika Joshi is a class 12 Student at Mayo College Girls' School who is currently pursuing the stream of Humanities with Math and Economics as well. Having always been deeply concerned about global issues, her Model UN Career began with Cheong Shim International Academy Model UN, South Korea, 2012. Following which she has participated in and won verbal and special mentions in various Model UN Conferences inclusive of MCGS Model UN, 2012, Harvard Model UN, Ivy League Model UN Conference, Philadelphia, the Doon School Model UN, Pathways Model UN, Cathedral Model UN and the Mayo Regional Parliamentary Summit where she won the Outstanding Delegate accolade.

Besides Model UN, Radhika is an ardent lover of Travel and History. A self-proclaimed gourmet, she is also very passionate about Music, specifically Vocal Music, and has worked closely with eminent personalities such as Mrs. Salome Roy and Mr. Deepak Castellino. Also the Hindi Debating Society President, she has won the best speaker accolade at the Doon School Kamla Jeevan Memorial Debate. Besides her academic distinctions Radhika also has a flair for Event Management, something she thoroughly enjoys doing. She is also a volunteer worker for a non- profit organisation, Ekal Vidyalaya, which is dedicated to bringing education & village development in rural India. She strongly feels towards the cause of spreading education to all.

Radhika is greatly looking forward to welcoming you all to Mayo for the fourth session of MCGSMUN and plans to work with the rest of the Secretariat to make this experience a truly unforgettable one!

VRINDA GANGWAL: UNDER SECRETARY GENERAL PUBLIC RELATIONS

Vrinda Gangwal is a Class 12 student at Mayo College Girls' School pursuing humanities with economics. Very passionate about Model UN her first MUN was the Cheong Shim International Model UN, South Korea in 2012. Since then she has participated in numerous Model UNs such as HMUN, The Doon School Model UN, Ivy League Model UN Conference and Pathways MUN. During this journey she also received honourable mention in MCGS Model UN, 2014 and best delegate at Pathways Model UN, 2014. She was also awarded a verbal mention at HMUN, India 2013.

A fun quirky person, Vrinda loves nothing more than her 1200DSLR, through which she captures glimpses of the world as she sees it. Currently she is pursuing a diploma (Manch Pravesh) in a traditional dance form known as Odissi. Besides MUN she is also passionate about Food and even more so about Dramatics. She has completed the Trinity Examinations for Speech and Drama up till Grade 7. A true connoisseur, she is defined by the strokes of her brush, something that to paraphrase 'defines her'. She is furthermore known to be an accomplished national level pistol shooter. In the near future Vrinda plans on entering into the world of design as she feels that art is the quintessence of life and that beauty lies within everything.

Vrinda wishes all the delegates the very best for the forth session of MCGSMUN and is eager to interact with all. She hopes that everyone will have the most memorable three days!

SHREYA GUPTA: UNDER SECRETARY GENERAL INTERNATIONAL PRESS

Shreya Gupta, a class 12 student pursuing Humanities at Mayo College Girls' School, has been part of the Model UN Circuit since 2012 when she participated in the MCGS Model UN Conference. Since then she has taken part in five more Model UNs namely the Doon School Model UN, the Cathedral Model UN, 2013, the Cathedral Model UN, 2014, where she received a Verbal Mention, and BRUIN MUN, hosted by the University of California where she was awarded the Best Research and Position Paper Award.

When she isn't solving the world's problems, Shreya is the quintessential Philomath, A.K.A. a lover of knowledge. An avid quizzer since Fourth Grade, she also harbours a passion for Hindi Debating and is the Quiz Society President, the Hindi Literary Society President and the School Website and Hindi Magazine Incharge. Also a huge fan of the book, she is sensitive to anything related to the Middle East. In the near future she hopes to pursue a degree in History or Political Science, and then go onto becoming a professional Journalist or enter the world of diplomacy as an IFS officer.

Shreya is ecstatic to have been appointed the Under- Secretary General for The Press and hopes to make the first ever Press Corps at MCGSMUN a landmark in history. She is very eager to welcome of all of you for the conference and hopes you will all have a brilliant three days!
